On July 3rd 2024 the Managing Authority of the Interreg VI-A Italy-Slovenia Programme has signed the financing contract of the standard project KARST ADAPT.
The KARST ADAPT project addresses the common challenge of climate change adaptation through more intensive and deeper cross-border cooperation. The vulnerability of the Karst region and the need to improve cooperation, equipment and implementation of preventive measures was demonstrated in 2022, when the area was hit by a large forest fire. The overall objective of the project is to improve the resilience capacities of local communities to the effects of climate change.
Lead Partner is Municipality of Miren-Kostanjevica in collaboration with 4 project partners and 8 associated partners.
