On May 31st 2023, the Kick-off meeting of the INTERREG VI-A Italy-Slovenia 2021-2027 KRAS-CARSO II strategic project, which brings joint management and sustainable development of the Classical Karst area.
The preparation of the event and the start of the project, which connects and unifies the border area, was also welcomed by the Minister for Slovenians in neighbouring countries and Slovenians abroad, Matej Arčon.
In the opening speech, the importance of the project and the integration in the cross-border area of Kras-Carso was highlighted by the state secretary at the Ministry of cohesion and regional development, Andreja Katič, and the head of the Managing authority at INTERREG VI-A Italy-Slovenia Programme, Laura Comelli.
