The Italian Multimedia Center "Gravisi" in Koper-Capodistria has added a new multimedia station entirely dedicated to the life and work of Giuseppe Tartini.
The exhibit was designed to make the museum experience especially appealing to a younger audience. The "Giuseppe Tartini" multimedia station, accessible to people with limited mobility, features a 7-minute animated short film, available in Italian, Slovenian, and English, accompanied by the Maestro's compositions. Thanks to its evocative animation, the station is easily engaging for even the youngest visitors. The exhibit is complemented by display panels introducing the station, a result of the TARTINI BIS project, and providing insights into the life and artistic journey of the violinist and composer born in Piran-Pirano.

With this new addition, the Multimedia Center not only strengthens its role as custodian of the cultural memory of the Italian National Community in Slovenia and Croatia, but also contributes to enriching the Tartini Route, the cultural-tourist itinerary dedicated to the "Master of Nations." As part of the TARTINI BIS project, the route was further enhanced with an exhibition hosted at the "Benedetto Marcello" Conservatory in Venice, which explores the composer's profound connection to the lagoon city.
An equally strong bond unites Tartini and Koper-Capodistria. After his early studies in Piran-Pirano, it was here that the young musician attended the Collegio dei Nobili, where he honed his knowledge of humanities and mathematics and devoted himself to the "knightly exercises" of fencing and music, developing a passion for the violin that would make him famous throughout Europe.
The new station at the Italian Multimedia Center "Gravisi" is therefore not only an enrichment of the museum's offerings, but also an invitation to rediscover, with new eyes and ears, the legacy of a genius who continues to unite places, stories, and communities across the centuries.
