THE NEW CIRCULAR.BUILDINGS PLATFORM

A digital tool for businesses, professionals and citizens interested in circular construction

The new web platform for the Circular.Buildings project, one of the main outputs of the project funded by the Interreg Italy-Slovenia Programme dedicated to the transition to more sustainable and efficient construction, will be online in the coming weeks.

The portal has been created to offer a single point of access to information, tools and services that are useful not only to businesses and professionals in the sector, but also to citizens interested in understanding how circular construction can improve the quality, durability and environmental impact of the buildings in which they live.

Through an intuitive interface and clearly structured content, the platform will accompany all users — technical experts, SMEs and the general public — in discovering the opportunities for innovation in the cross-border construction sector.

Practical and up-to-date content for all users

The platform is organised into thematic sections that will be constantly updated. The aim is to provide reliable knowledge and useful operational tools to address the challenges of the transition to more sustainable construction models.

Good practices in circular construction

This section brings together real-life interventions and solutions that apply the principles of circular construction in the building sector.

Summary sheets provide information on the technologies used, operating methods and results achieved, offering replicable ideas for businesses and professionals, but also clear reading for citizens who want to understand how innovation can improve the quality of buildings and reduce waste production.

Innovations and Emerging technologies

The portal will host a collection of fact sheets dedicated to innovations in the sector, including digital and artificial intelligence-based solutions analysed by the project.

The information will be presented in clear language, allowing citizens to navigate the new tools and approaches that are transforming construction — from process digitalisation to circular design and efficient material management..

Cross-border networking to strengthen collaboration

One of the platform's key features is the networking space, designed to connect businesses and consultants operating in Italy and Slovenia.

This section will allow users to showcase their skills and services, facilitating the creation of new partnerships.

For citizens, the area will also offer an immediate overview of the most active players in innovation and sustainability, helping to make the landscape of operators in the region transparent and accessible.

Quick and accessible training

The section dedicated to training videos will feature clips lasting a few minutes, focusing on tools, methods and case studies.

The short format will allow businesses, technicians and citizens to quickly get up to speed and easily understand concepts that are often perceived as complex, bringing innovation closer to those who do not have specific technical skills.

An important new feature coming in January: the chatbot dedicated to circular construction

To complete the platform, a specialised chatbot, a virtual assistant available 24 hours a day, will be available from January.

The chatbot will help businesses, professionals and citizens navigate the portal's content, find relevant information and understand the most useful tools for adopting circular construction practices.

This feature is one of the most innovative elements of the project, making the portal an immediate and accessible resource for everyone.

A strategic result for the Circular.Buildings project

The web platform is a central part of the project, because it brings together knowledge, tools and opportunities for collaboration in a single digital environment capable of supporting the entire construction ecosystem — from SMEs to professionals to citizens — on the path towards more sustainable models.

Thanks to the portal, it will be possible to consolidate a more integrated, informed cross-border system that is attentive to the quality and circularity of the built environment.
