The Municipality of San Dorligo della Valle has successfully completed the installation of new urban equipment as part of the KAŠTellieri project, marking an important step towards enhancing the area's tourism offer and preserving its cultural heritage.
During April and May 2025, bicycle racks were installed in three locations: Prebenico, Bagnoli della Rosandra, and by the Lake, improving accessibility for visitors exploring the region by bike. In addition, new picnic tables were placed in scenic spots on Monte Carso and at the top of Monte San Michele, providing ideal rest areas for visitors to relax and enjoy the views.
Special attention was also given to the improvement of the area around the prehistoric hillfort (castelliere) on Monte Carso, where overgrown vegetation was cleared to make the site more accessible for visits and exploration. This intervention represents a significant contribution to the conservation and valorisation of the local cultural heritage.
Through these activities, the Municipality of San Dorligo della Valle significantly contributes to increasing the visibility and attractiveness of historically rich locations, while promoting sustainable and active tourism.
