The Interreg CrossCare 2.0 project has started its training work in Friuli Venezia Giulia, Veneto and Slovenia. We have launched free meetings, open to the public, to transfer knowledge on techniques and strategies to better understand and manage the challenges of dementia, making an important contribution to improving the quality of life of older people.
The workshops on the Validation method have already taken place at the beginning of April at Residenza Protetta Sacile and the DEOS Celostna oskrba starejših senior center in Notranje Gorice. On May 9th the workshop will be repeated in Veneto, at the Residenza Francescon in Portogruaro. It is an internationally recognized method that aims to provide adequate tools for the care and well-being of elderly people with cognitive impairment. Workshops will follow on the role of the Care Manager and his work with the community. The workshop on cooperation with local actors will be held at the Social Center in Grosuplje on May 23rd at 10.00 am.
The next workshop, which will focus on the Gentlecare method, will also be held at the Residenza Protetta Sacile on June 5th. A workshop on this topic will also be held in Slovenia at the beginning of June. A workshop on the basics of dementia will also be held on June 5th June at the DEOS Senior Center in Notranje Gorice, aimed at the public and all those in a position to assist the elderly.
At the training level, CrossCare 2.0 involves the implementation of bilingual guidelines of the CrossCare® model and a common training path for all partners. The CrossCare 2.0 project. is financed by the Interreg VI-A Italy-Slovenia 2021-2027 Program of the European Regional Development Fund.
