Successful Completion of the ALL-MICRO Cross-Training Event in Slovenia
Following the first session held in Italy in November 2024, the second part of the ALL-MICRO Cross-Training event took place in Slovenia on February 4–5, 2025, bringing together Italian and Slovenian partners to enhance technical skills, foster networking, and strengthen collaboration in optical and electron microscopy.
The first day, hosted at the University of Nova Gorica in Ajdovščina, featured hands-on training in sample preparation, TEM, AFM, SEM, and µ-Raman. Participants rotated through specialized sessions and concluded the day with a tour of the university’s laboratories.
On the second day, the training moved to the Nanocenter in Ljubljana, where participants worked with advanced microscopy technologies such as Focused Ion Beam (FIB), 4-Probe Microscopy, and Quantum Device Labs. The event ended with a visit to the Jožef Stefan Institute and the microscopy labs of the University of Nova Gorica.
The event was a great success, reinforcing knowledge exchange and collaboration while providing participants with hands-on experience with cutting-edge microscopy tools. This initiative further solidifies the ALL-MICRO project's mission to establish a strong international network in advanced microscopy.
📢 Reminder: The next monthly ALL-MICRO meeting is scheduled for February 27, 2025. Stay tuned for updates and discussions on upcoming initiatives!
