We have started picking up the larval collectors placed in the Gulf of Trieste! Despite the fog, the sea conditions were excellent for working at sea. Our team recovered and analysed two of the collectors placed among the mussel farms licensed to our partner Shoreline. 

Unfortunately, a thorough examination of the contents of the collectors did not yield any young pinnids. 

We found other bivalve molluscs, lots of mussels and scallops, as well as various organisms such as annelids, small crustaceans, shrimps, ascidians and sponges. We will continue collecting during the winter and hope to be more lucky!
