The study visit to the spectacular Slivia Towers Cave was an extraordinary experience, combining exploration, scientific knowledge and natural wonder.
Accompanied by owner and expert guide Corrado Greco, participants had the opportunity to delve into the heart of the Karst underground, discovering one of the region's most fascinating jewels. Inside the cave, the underground panorama was revealed in all its grandeur: columns of stalactites and stalagmites of impressive dimensions, natural architectures sculpted by time and the slow work of water, which for millions of years has modelled the rock into unique and evocative shapes.
The visit was not only an opportunity to admire these extraordinary formations, but also to understand at first hand the geological processes that gave rise to the Karst landscape. The guide's explanations allowed participants to learn more about the evolutionary history of the cave, the composition of the soil and the importance of preserving these fragile and precious environments.
The experience offered a new and immersive perspective on the area, creating an even deeper connection with its unique geological history. The visit to the Torri di Slivia Cave was not only a learning experience, but also an opportunity to reflect on the importance of protecting natural heritage, in perfect harmony with the objectives of the PALLIPES project.
