On November 6th, 2025, took place in Trieste the final event of PRIMIS PLUS – Multicultural stories: a sensorial journey through local minorities’ point of view, a European project funded by the INTERREG Italy–Slovenia Programme 2021–2027, for the promotion of the culture of minority language communities in Italy and Slovenia.
Launched in 2023, PRIMIS PLUS marks the evolution of the previous PRIMIS project and stems from close cooperation between Italian and Slovenian organisations: the Italian Union (Lead Partner), the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia through its Central Directorate for Culture and Sport, the Veneto Region with its Directorate for International Cooperation, the Friulian Philological Society “Graziadio Isaia Ascoli”, ATS Projekt, and the Institute for Ethnic Studies in Ljubljana.
“Through cooperation between institutions, research centres and local communities,” emphasised Mario Anzil, Vice-President of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, “PRIMIS PLUS helps to enhance the culture of cross-border linguistic communities, fostering mutual understanding and respect for diversity as a driving force for cultural development.”
The project celebrates the linguistic and cultural richness of the cross-border area, building bridges and creating new opportunities for shared growth.
