Yesterday (3/25/2025), we presented the CrossCare 2.0 project at the Social Chamber of Slovenia, an initiative that promotes cross-border cooperation and innovative approaches to elderly care.
Dementia is one of the most important challenges for public health in an aging society. It is an incurable disease that affects approximately 43,000 people in Slovenia.
During the seminar on comprehensive dementia care, held at the Social Chamber's Training Centre, experts in the field presented the latest knowledge on the topic, prevention and the importance of supporting family members. We were delighted to participate in the event and present the CrossCare 2.0 project, which aims to strengthen an integrated and community-oriented approach to elderly care.
On behalf of DEOS, Dino Černivec, together with Anja Šajn from the DSO in Grosuplje, presented the project activities and approaches used in working with elderly people, with a focus on maintaining individual skills, social inclusion and prevention. The CrossCare 2.0 model is based on cross-border cooperation between organizations from Slovenia and
Italy, engaged in the development of innovative solutions for long-term care. The event was an important opportunity for knowledge exchange, dialogue between professionals and joint reflection on the future of comprehensive and inclusive care for older people.
