On March 26, 2025, members of the Institute for Kinesiology Research at the Science and Research Centre Koper participated in the GO! Youth Event in Gorizia, Italy, where they presented the cross-border INTERREG ITA-SLO project XBrain.net. The project, fully titled Network for cross-border cooperation aimed at the rehabilitation of the post-stroke patient with innovative technologies, attracted the attention of numerous visitors, particularly young students, who were eager to explore the intersection of modern technologies and rehabilitation.
At the Institute’s promotional booth, attendees had the opportunity to learn firsthand how technologies often associated with entertainment and leisure—such as active video games and virtual reality systems—are applied in clinical settings to assist stroke patients. Experts from ZRS Koper explained in an accessible and engaging way how these innovative solutions enhance patients’ motor skills and quality of life, while also fostering cross-border collaboration between Slovenia and Italy.
