On March 11, 2025, the SeaInsights project partners gathered online for the third official meeting to review progress and align on key upcoming tasks. Hosted by the coordinator, University of Ljubljana, the session focused on financial updates, progress in work packages, and reporting through the JEMS system.
Each Work Package (WP) leader presented their advancements. WP1 (led by DivjaLabs) reported successful DNA sampling and preliminary results from eDNA metabarcoding in the Northern Adriatic. WP2 (University of Padova) highlighted progress in dolphin population assessments and drone-based health evaluations. WP3 (Morigenos) discussed innovative dolphin sampling methods and genetic marker development. WP4 (University of Ljubljana & University of Padova) shared results from initial stakeholder focus groups, while WP5 (Shoreline) proposed a streamlined approach to cross-border monitoring events.
Key deadlines were reiterated, with all partners required to upload progress data by March 25 to ensure timely submission by March 31, 2025. The meeting closed with clear action points, emphasizing consistency in reporting, collaboration, and visibility through communication channels.
The next partner meeting is scheduled for September 2025.
