In the Municipality of Ajdovščina, the arrangement of the natural science educational trail along the Hubelj stream was successfully completed within the framework of the GRENNAT project. Through the restoration and improvements carried out, the trail’s safety, accessibility, and the quality of the visitor experience have been enhanced.
As part of the works, 3.1 kilometres of the trail were restored, cleaned, and maintained, including vegetation trimming and improvements to its accessibility. Directional and information signs, as well as marker posts, were restored or replaced, enabling visitors to navigate the area more easily and gain a better understanding of its natural features.
Additional works included maintenance of the suspension bridge, installation of a safety railing, and restoration of the drainage area at the “Pri koritu” location. Through these measures, the municipality has contributed to the sustainable management of natural infrastructure and improved conditions for visitors to experience the natural heritage along the Hubelj stream.
The arrangement of the natural science educational trail represents one of the contributions of the GRENNAT project to promoting sustainable development, preserving natural areas, and raising public awareness of the importance of biodiversity conservation.
