We are pleased to announce that, as part of the international public competition held within the framework of the project CREW – Crossroads of Visions, Public Call for Standard Projects No. 02/2023 of the Interreg VI – A – Italy – Slovenia 2021 – 2027 Programme, two artists have been selected to create public sculptures that will be installed on the Italian and Slovenian sides of the border, respectively.
The jury, composed of three members – Emanuela Uccello (Chair), Cristina Feresin (Member), and Pavla Jarc (Member) – selected the following artists from ten high-quality proposals:
- Beatrice Taponecco (IT) – selected for the creation of the public sculpture on the Slovenian side
- Boštjan Kavčič (SI) – selected for the creation of the public sculpture on the Italian side
The selected works stand out for their strong conceptual design and high aesthetic sophistication, in line with the vision and objectives of the competition.
