On July 31st, 2025 the Managing Authority of the Interreg VI-A Italy-Slovenia Programme had signed the subsidy contract for the standard project CLISHE.
CLISHE addresses adaptation to extreme heat through climate shelters, a strategy which provides easily accessible places with comfortable climatic conditions, especially for the most vulnerable social groups. This is a strategy that has only recently emerged, so there are still aspects to be investigated. CLISHE tackles three of them, which constitute the innovative character of the proposal: the replicability of climate shelters in different contexts; their ability to include different social groups, especially the most vulnerable ones; and the possibility of making them effective vectors for public awareness of the effects of climate change.
The Lead Partner of the project is Municipality of Lignano Sabbiadoro, which will cooperate with 4 project partners.
