On June 27th, 2025 the Managing Authority of the Interreg VI-A Italy-Slovenia Programme had signed the subsidy contract for the standard project WoodInnovate.
The WoodInnovate project addresses the new challenges of the forest and timber supply chain in the Alps-Adriatic region. In particular, it will address new challenges, such as the alteration of forest species and the reduction of wood quality and availability, which have emerged as a consequence of climate change. The project aims to improve the economic and environmental sustainability of the forestry supply chain and turn the challenge of climate change into new opportunities.
The Lead Partner of the project is University of Ljubljana, which will cooperate with 4 Project Partners and 5 Associated Partners.
