On Sunday, March 23, at the Luigi Bon Theatre in Colugna (UD), the workshop “Tartini for Everyone, Everyone for Tartini” took place — an event dedicated to promoting the music of Giuseppe Tartini among younger generations. The event featured Prof. Giulio D’Angelo from the “Giuseppe Tartini” Conservatory in Trieste and Prof. Claudio Mansutti from the Luigi Bon Foundation, who presented the results of the TARTINI BIS project.
Among the project’s most innovative initiatives was the creation of five simplified scores based on Tartini’s works, designed specifically for youth string orchestras. These arrangements were made by composition students from the Trieste Conservatory, who engaged in a process of adaptation that, while easing technical difficulties, preserved the expressive intent of the original composer.

During the event, performances were given by the String Quartet, the Wind Quartet, and the Youth Orchestra of the Luigi Bon Foundation, conducted by Anna Molaro, who presented pieces born from this valuable work of reduction and simplification. This workshop, together with the one held in Koper-Capodistria, confirms the success of the project in spreading awareness of Tartini among young musicians in Italy and Slovenia, while fostering further educational and cultural initiatives.
The scores, complete with individual parts, are freely available in the Tartini Junior section of the website discovertartini.eu.
