On Wednesday, June 18th, the partner Agricultural Institute of Slovenia (KIS), within the framework of the Interreg Italy–Slovenia BEE2GETHER project, organized the technical workshop:
"INNOVATION IN SUSTAINABLE BEEKEEPING".
The event, aimed at beekeepers, researchers, farmers, and enthusiasts in the field, addressed crucial topics for the future of beekeeping, with a special focus on ecological sustainability and the integration of new technologies. Key topics discussed included:
Ecological beekeeping: best practices for environmentally and bee-friendly hive management.
Innovative technologies: digital tools to improve hive productivity and bee welfare.
One of the most anticipated moments was the presentation of the BEE2GETHER web app, an innovative platform designed for the monitoring and management of apiaries, created to simplify and optimize the work of beekeepers.
The workshop also included a focus on the opportunities of urban beekeeping, with practical examples of how modern technologies can be applied in both rural and urban contexts.
This event represents another important step forward in the path outlined by the BEE2GETHER project to promote modern and eco-compatible beekeeping and agriculture in the cross-border area.
