On Tuesday, June 17th, the partner Regional Development Agency ROD Ajdovščina, as part of the Interreg Italy - Slovenia BEE2GETHER project, organized a technical workshop at its headquarters in Ajdovščina titled: "INNOVATION IN THE FIELD OF SUSTAINABLE BEEKEEPING."
The event, aimed at beekeepers, researchers, farmers, and enthusiasts, addressed key issues for the future of beekeeping, with a particular focus on ecological sustainability and the integration of new technologies. Among the main topics discussed:
Ecological beekeeping: best practices for environmentally and bee-friendly hive management.
Innovative technologies: digital tools to improve hive productivity and bee welfare.
One of the highlights of the event was the presentation of the BEE2GETHER web app, an innovative platform dedicated to the monitoring and management of apiaries, designed to optimize beekeepers' work.
There was also a detailed discussion on the opportunities offered by urban beekeeping, with practical examples of how modern technologies can be integrated into both rural and urban settings.
The event attracted great interest, confirming the growing attention towards a sector where innovation and sustainability are increasingly going hand in hand.
