Networking activities with fellow researchers in the Adriatic continue.
As part of the annual meeting of project partners for the conservation of the noble pen shell in the Adriatic Sea), the TRECAP project also presented its activities, and during the two-day event also visited the facilities of the Aquarium of Pula, a state-of-the-art facility in the Mediterranean for the housing of Pinna nobilis.
In addition to Trecap, colleagues from the LIFEPInna and POSEIDONE project were also present, who together with experts from around the Mediterranean presented the state of the art of the latest research aimed at the recovery of Pinna nobilis.
They discussed breeding techniques, but also genetic mapping and larval capture, which are also the strategies behind the TRECAP project to support the restoration of this species across borders.
