On 21 November 2025, the sculpture Stičišče kultur / Meeting Point of Cultures by Slovenian artist Boštjan Kavčič, runner-up in the 1st International Public Sculpture Competition promoted by Kulturni Dom in Nova Gorica, partner of the CREW / Crossed Visions project, was inaugurated. The work was placed in front of the SDAG Multifunctional Centre – CREW Space, at the former Vrtojba–Štandrež border crossing.
The sculpture, composed of three monoliths weighing four tonnes each from the Lipica quarry, was arranged in a circle, evoking a harmonious movement. The location on the border and the very shape of the composition symbolised the encounter and dialogue between different cultures, transforming the area into a welcoming space for rest and interaction under the trees.
