Cultural tourism, including music and literary tourism, offers a slightly different form of travel. Often, the desire to get to know a particular musician, composer or writer takes us to lesser-known places where we can explore their life and legacy. Such destinations are therefore worth a visit. In Slovenia, including in the Italy-Slovenia Interreg programme area, there are many places linked to music and literary tourism.
As part of the 34th European Cultural Heritage Days and the 12th Cultural Heritage Week, an event entitled Literary Routes in the Municipality of Ilirska Bistrica took place at the Dom na Vidmu , where five literary routes were recorded, including the Vilharje Learning Route. Valorising the work and life of composer, writer and politician Miroslav Vilhar is one of the main objectives of the TARTINI BIS project. It builds on the successful work of the previous tARTini project, on which the project partners of RRA Zeleni Karst are drawing in their research into Vilhar's heritage. Following the example of the research and publication of Tartini's legacy, this will be the first time that Vilhar's heritage will be systematically presented on a single website.
At the event, Martina Erjavec and Polona Zevnik from RRA Zeleni Kras presented the TARTINI BIS project and the activities aimed at bringing Miroslav Vilhar's heritage closer to both the professional and the general public.
