The Municipality of Hrpelje - Kozina and the Local Community of Krvavi Potok successfully organized the Village Festival and the inauguration of the newly arranged surroundings of the village hall on June 15, 2025. The event took place within the framework of the ENGREEN 2 project, which aims to protect the natural environment and raise awareness about the importance of green infrastructure solutions.
The official program began with a short cultural performance, which included musical acts by children and youth playing various instruments, a group dance performance by all the village children, a performance by the Male Choir “Slavnik,” and a musical ensemble formed especially for the occasion. This was followed by a ceremonial ribbon-cutting, officially opening the newly renovated area around the village hall and a brand-new playground for children and youth. Both represent a significant asset for the residents of Krvavi Potok and the broader area.
After the ceremony, visitors enjoyed a pleasant social gathering, during which representatives of the ENGREEN 2 project presented the main goals and activities of the project. Special attention was given to raising awareness about sustainable environmental practices, the importance of biodiversity conservation, and the role of local communities in developing green solutions. Children eagerly solved a maze and a crossword puzzle and colored biodiversity-themed drawings.
The event was very well attended and received positive feedback from the local community. On this occasion, we would like to thank all participants and organizers who contributed to the successful realization of the festival and the inauguration.
