The visit to the Demonstrative Pilot Farm "Vallevecchia" on May 16, 2024, promoted by the Lead Partner Veneto Agricoltura, provided an experience rich in technical information. The main objective was to create an opportunity for field exchange between agricultural companies from Veneto and internationally. Thanks to the presence of experts in environmental sustainability, participants learned about innovative crop management practices and automated systems to monitor plant health through bees.
The meeting began with a presentation at the company headquarters, illustrating the area's characteristics, crops, environmental improvement achievements, ongoing projects, and agricultural practices used, including environmental monitoring through electronic hives that detect the presence of chemical agents such as fungicides and insecticides. Subsequently, visitors moved to the experimental fields to explore the Vallevecchia environment and the synergistic projects present. The visit also included the observation of the electronic hives from the Interreg Bee2gether project.
