The strategic project WALKofPEACE co-funded within the Interreg V-A Italy-Slovenia Programme 2014-2020 and financed as a capitalisation project in the 2021-2027 programming period (WALKofPEACE+) continues in other programmes.
On Thursday May 23rd 2024, the presentation of the GOV4PeaCE project, co-funded by the Interreg Central Europe Programme, took place in Kobarid. By capitalising on the achievements of the WALKofPEACE strategic project the GOV4PeaCE project aims to improve the management of World War I heritage in the Central European region by transferring the Slovenian-Italian experience in the development and management of World War I heritage and by establishing a European peace trail.
The project will see the collaboration of partners from 6 European countries, demonstrating the importance and purpose of transnational cooperation.
