On 17 December 2025, the Sala Kugy at the headquarters of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Regional Government in Udine hosted the award ceremony of the Wigwam Italian Press Award, organised within the framework of the WABIN – Water Balance in the Cross-Border Interconnected Nature project, co-funded by the Interreg VI-A Italy–Slovenia Programme.
The event awarded young people under 25 from Friuli Venezia Giulia, the Province of Venice and Slovenia, finalists of the two special sections “Water to drink, water to work, water to live” and “The culture of the ditch”, dedicated to the environmental, social and economic value of water resources.
Following the institutional greetings by Regional Councillor Stefano Zannier and Alberto Budai, President of the IV Permanent Commission of the Regional Council, speakers highlighted the role of young generations in communicating sustainability and promoting good practices in water management.
