The partners of the RecapMCV project had the opportunity to share the main results of the RecapMCV and MerlinCV projects with the public and professionals from the museum and cultural sectors during the workshop organized by Informest on the morning of April 11, held at the Grand Hotel Entourage in Gorizia, as part of the event "Beyond Borders: Immersive Experiences between Italy and Slovenia."
The partners presented some of the capitalized results, such as the platform and the developed game, as well as the creation of the immersive room at the Filanda Museum in Salzano. They emphasized the continuity between the two projects by presenting the Strategy and Action Plan focused on the “immersive room as an innovative, inclusive, and sustainable tool to present and experience cultural heritage,” which also includes the steps taken so far to create the immersive room at Kozlov Rob in Tolmin, thanks to the RecapMCV project.
The invited speakers presented inspiring local best practices, such as the investments in digital technologies made by the Municipality of Gorizia at the Castle, the challenges in implementing projects under the official GO!2025 program, including the Dotmuseums Project – Developing mini-museums in smart homes – and the sustainability of Interreg projects through the modification of policy instruments by the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia.
The event provided a unique opportunity to explore how new technologies can enhance the historical and artistic heritage of the cross-border areas between Italy and Slovenia, breaking down historical, linguistic, and cultural barriers, and creating new ways to experience and enhance shared heritage. The innovative and immersive digital experiences presented and tested during the day represent a virtual bridge between Italy and Slovenia, capable of telling shared stories through innovative languages. After the workshop a press conference was held.
