PILOT ACTIONS
Within the framework of the project, a capitalization of the results achieved during the ENGREEN project was achieved through the implementation of 7 new pilot actions. These pilot actions contributed to protecting existing habitats and creating new ones, as well as protecting and enhancing biodiversity for both plant and animal species. A cross-border approach was fundamental in implementing these activities, thereby ensuring significant results within the Interreg Italy-Slovenia programme area.
The 7 pilot actions implemented by the project partners were:
- Restoration of the Mrzlek pond in the Natura 2000 Karst area;
- Restoration of the Lipce pond;
- Requalification of the Na Zavrteh pond in the Natura 2000 Karst area;
- Restoration of the stone wall in Beka, in the Municipality of Hrpelje-Kozina;
- Restoration of an ice house in the Municipality of Hrpelje-Kozina;
- Development of the Beka Landscape Park for biodiversity conservation;
- Installation of information signs in the Val Rosandra Nature Reserve.
