Third Project Meeting and Nature Walk

Cross-border biodiversity monitoring in action! 🌍
Last Friday, experts from Italy and Slovenia gathered to discuss the status of a key species in the cross-border area between Friuli Venezia Giulia and Slovenia. The event featured presentations on recent environmental DNA campaigns, innovative monitoring methods, and collaborative research efforts across borders.

🔬 Highlights included:

Insights from Chiara Manfrin and Minja Kristic on the species’ presence in both regions
Updates on eDNA data collection by Federica Fonda
Practical tools for field monitoring, presented by Giulio Bolognini
A scenic nature walk at the Flambro springs to observe the species’ habitat first-hand 🌱
A big thank you to all participants for contributing to a meaningful day of scientific exchange and collaboration!
