On Friday, 13 February 2026 at 10:00 a.m., at the University of Udine – Di4A Department, Sala della Vite e del Vino, the event “Circular Rainbow Lab – consultation with the group of Italian fish farmers” will take place, promoted within the framework of the CIRCULAR RAINBOW project (Interreg VI-A Italy–Slovenia Programme).
The Circular Rainbow Lab is a collaborative and participatory process involving fish farmers, researchers, experts and institutions, aimed at supporting the transition of aquaculture facilities towards digital recirculating RAS systems, which are more sustainable, efficient and resilient to climate change.
The meeting represents the group consultation phase of the Circular Rainbow Lab, following an initial phase of surveying and selection of companies interested in transitioning to digital recirculating RAS systems.
The objective is to promote a circular trout farming model that is environmentally and economically sustainable and capable of responding to the challenges posed by climate change.
During the event, project results will be presented and innovative farming models will be discussed with experts, representatives of aquaculture companies and regional institutions.
The event will be held in Italian, in accordance with the project framework.
The same type of event will be organized in Slovenia on 25 February, in the Slovene language, for the group of Slovenian fish farmers.
