Vallevecchia (Caorle, VE) – 28 August 2025

The European project Bee2gether, co-financed by the Interreg VI-A Italy-Slovenia Programme, is coming to a close. The project has placed bees at the center as valuable bioindicators for safeguarding biodiversity and promoting more sustainable agricultural practices.

The final conference, scheduled for Thursday, 28 August 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. at the Pilot and Demonstrative Farm Vallevecchia (Brussa di Caorle, VE), will provide an opportunity to share the results achieved and to explore in depth the innovative model developed by the project.

Key topics of the event include:

  • the contribution of electronic hives and ICT technologies for real-time monitoring of colony health;

  • the analysis of pollen as an indicator of environmental quality and the presence of pesticides or heavy metals;

  • best agricultural practices for resilient farming that respects biodiversity.

The day will conclude with a demonstrative visit to the electronic apiaries, offering the chance to observe the technologies in action and to better understand their potential for the future of beekeeping and sustainable agriculture.
