Gaetano Nasillo is one of the most acclaimed cellists dedicated to performing on original instruments. He graduated in cello from the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan under the guidance of Rocco Filippini and, from a young age, became passionate about the study of historical performance practices on original instruments. Alongside the cello, he studied the viola da gamba at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis under Paolo Pandolfo and collaborated with musicians of the caliber of Chiara Banchini and Jesper Christensen. He is currently a professor of baroque and modern cello at the Guido Cantelli Conservatory in Novara.

Sara Bennici graduated in cello from the Cherubini Conservatory in Florence under Franco Rossi and in baroque cello, with highest honors, from the Cantelli Conservatory in Novara under Gaetano Nasillo. After collaborating with some of Italy's leading orchestral institutions, such as Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, ORT Orchestra della Toscana, RAI National Symphony Orchestra, and the Rome Opera House, since 2002 she has focused primarily on music played on original instruments and baroque performance practices. Her meeting with Gaetano Nasillo marked the beginning of a long journey of rediscovering and promoting the Italian repertoire for cello from the late 1600s to the entire 1700s.
