The cross-border High School Pier Paolo Pasolini between Nature and Culture: Sentimental Geographies and Linguistic Borders begins on Sunday, November 2, 2025.
Here is the program that the 30 participating students will follow:
5 days: from 02.11.2025 to 06.11.2025
I Day 02.11.2025 – Welcome and discovery of Pasolini's places in Casarsa
Location: Casarsa della Delizia (PN)
Morning: 10.30 AM: Arrival and welcome of participants at CSPPP by Marco Salvadori (President of the Pier Paolo Pasolini Study Centre) and Angelo Fàvaro (Scientific Coordinator of the High School).
Participation in the events for the fiftieth anniversary of Pier Paolo Pasolini's death, in the various locations of the Friulian town (High School participants must document with their personal tools)
1.00 PM: Lunch break.
Afternoon: 3.00 PM: Guided tour of the Colussi-Pasolini family house in Casarsa by Prof. Maura Locantore (Member of the 4P project Scientific Committee)
5.00 PM: Reading and commentary workshop on poetic texts in Friulian and Italian (Poesie a Casarsa) by Prof. Fabiana Castellarin (Expert Lecturer)
9.00 PM: Participation in an event at the Teatro Arrigoni in San Vito al Tagliamento (High School participants must document with their personal tools)
II Day 03.11.2025 – Participation in the Conference dedicated to the fiftieth anniversary of Pier Paolo Pasolini's death
Location: Casarsa della Delizia (PN)
Morning: 09.00 AM: Welcome to the Conference Pasolini nell’immaginario collettivo: un’icona senza tempo – at the Teatro Pasolini (High School participants must document the moments of the conference with their personal tools)
5.30 PM: Conclusion of the Conference. Participation in the show at the Pasolini theatre in Casarsa (High School participants must document the moments of the conference with their personal tools)
III Day 04.11.2025 – Pasolini and expressive codes in Idrija
Location: Idrija (Slovenia)
Morning: 8.00 AM: Departure for the Slovenian city
10.30 AM: Lecture on Pasolini and linguistic experimentation in expressive codes (poetry, narrative) – Part one by Dr. Luigi Bianco (Expert Lecturer), by Prof. Maria Antonietta Garullo (Expert Lecturer)
11.30 AM: Lecture on Pasolini and linguistic experimentation in expressive codes (reportage and journalistic writing) – Part two by Dr. Elena Grazioli (Expert Lecturer)
12.30 PM: Lecture on Pasolini and linguistic experimentation in expressive codes (theatre-cinema) – Part three by Riccardo Costantini (Member of the 4P project Scientific Committee), by Miklavž Komelj (Member of the 4P project Scientific Committee)
2.00 PM: Lunch break.
Afternoon: 3.30 PM: Inspirational and immersive-emotional walk by Marco Acri and Milanka Trušnovec (Members of the 4P project Scientific Committee)
5.00 PM: Expressive Workshop: reinterpretation of Pasolini's texts in a contemporary key through different artistic forms (writing, photography, performance) by Riccardo Costantini (Member of the 4P project Scientific Committee) by Matjaz Lunaček (Member of the 4P project Scientific Committee)
6.30 PM: Conclusions.
IV Day – 05.11.2025 Translation and cultural dialogue in Idrija
Location: Idrija (Slovenia)
Morning: 10.00 AM: Introduction to translatology, literary translation, and the challenges in rendering Pasolini’s Friulian and Italian into Slovenian by Prof. Benedetta Nasti (Expert Lecturer) by Prof. Robert Groselj (Expert Lecturer)
11.30 AM: Video and photo "hunt" activity in Idrija, Geopark and surroundings: the research, the framing, the image, the short circuit with literature/writing for cinema or documentary by Dr. Giovanni La Rosa (Expert Lecturer)
1.30 PM: Lunch break
Afternoon: 3.30 PM - 4.30 PM Translation workshop of Pasolini's prose and poetry (texts about Friuli) by Prof. Maura Locantore (Member of the 4P project Scientific Committee)
5.00 PM: Review of workshop activities by Prof. Angelo Fàvaro
7.00 PM: Conclusions
V Day 5 – 06.11.2025 Pasolini landscapes and final presentation
Location: Nova Gorica (Slovenia)
Morning: 8.00 AM: Departure
9.30 AM: Screening of some sequences from Il Vangelo Secondo Matteo (1964)
10.30 AM: Lecture on the Vangelo by Stojan Pelko (Member of the 4P project Scientific Committee and Head of the GO! 2025 European Capital of Culture Program) 1
1.30 AM: Conclusion of the High School with participant reflection
12.30 PM: Certificate award ceremony by the President of the Pasolini Study Centre of Casarsa, Marco Salvadori
1.00 PM: Conclusion of the High School and lunch.
