After the first meeting held in Maniago, the Interreg Italy–Slovenia WABIN – Water Balance in the Cross-Border Interconnected Nature project is ready to host its second territorial Focus Group, this time dedicated to the Slovenian side of the cross-border area.

The event is organised by the Slovenian partner Clera.One, in collaboration with ZRS Koper, and will focus on the co-creation of shared strategies and measures for the protection and enhancement of water resources, especially in light of the increasingly evident effects of climate change.
The agenda includes a dynamic and interactive focus group, where institutions, businesses, water managers, and local representatives will engage in discussion on:
territorial needs related to the use and protection of water resources;
existing measures and good practices;
the role of local actors in water governance.
The objective is to strengthen dialogue and cooperation between public and private stakeholders for integrated and resilient water management at basin level. The results of this Focus Group will be analysed and integrated with those from the Italian side, and included in a cross-border Memorandum of Understanding, to be presented publicly during the final WABIN event in October 2025.
🌿 In addition to the technical discussions, the meeting will also offer opportunities for informal networking, accompanied by local food and wine.
