Workshop “Seasonal flavors: herbs that tell the story of the territory”
On the occasion of the inauguration of the new exhibition at the National Archaeological Museum of Cividale del Friuli,
Civiform is offering a meeting open to the public dedicated to discovering the world of herbs, including their culture, cuisine, and sustainability. Led by chef and wild herb expert Ennio Furlan, the workshop will offer insights, reflections, and suggestions on native and non-native plants in our area, with a particular focus on their culinary uses and benefits for the environment and health.
The meeting will be held using the participatory Open Space Technology method to encourage dialogue, sharing, and free exchange among participants.
The program includes:
• Welcome and registration
• Presentation of the Interreg Italy–Slovenia Program and the Meds Garden+ project.
Introduction to Civiform's sustainable educational garden, with a focus on wind towers and low environmental impact solutions
• Presentation by chef Ennio Furlan on the theme of wild herbs: biodiversity, culinary uses, and local heritage
• Social gathering with tasting of dishes based on seasonal herbs, prepared by Civiform's catering students
• Promotion and registration for the Open Day of Civiform's sustainable educational garden, scheduled for the same afternoon from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the headquarters in Viale Gemona 5
