This meeting of the successful IN4SAFETY project took place in sunny Venice, organized by the Municipality of Venice. The partners, who arrived at the meeting in a sustainable way – by train, spent their working day efficiently.
The event was first opened with introductory remarks by the project manager, the representative of the Municipality of Ajdovščina. This was followed by a presentation of the activities already completed within the theoretical 1st work package; representatives of the Geodetic Institute of Slovenia presented their report on the activities of identification and preparation of additional datasets/services, including data services for Slovenia. The activities related to the integration of territorial WEB GIS data, weather forecast data, analysis of the current emergency plan and analysis of the current legislation on emergencies were presented also by the representative of Venice. The databases are considered complete after the completion of the 2nd period of the project.
Within the 2nd practical work package, the representative of the partner GENG presented the completed and ongoing activities related to the preparation of the Joint Program for the organizational scheme of the joint coordination of the management of cross-border assistance. The preparation of the umbrella joint training programs was successfully completed with the 2nd period. The partners have once again discovered that the activities are being implemented successfully and in accordance with the set goals. In addition to successful cooperation within the contractual partnership, the partners have also devoted time to cooperation with other projects and creating synergies with them. But so that it does not remain just words - we will also test the cooperation in practice, namely with the joint participation of several projects in the joint final exercise of the IN4SAFETY project.
