BeBlue project partners aligned activities and announced an exciting programme for the final months of the project.
On Friday, 21 March 2025, the 5th Steering Committee meeting of the BeBlue project, co-financed by the European Union under the Interreg VI-A Italy-Slovenia Programme, took place at the FabLab – Urban Center Trieste.
During the meeting, partners reviewed all remaining project activities, including those postponed from previous semesters. Following a constructive discussion, they developed the final schedule and set the dates for all key events and tasks to be carried out until the project’s completion. Special attention was given to the alignment of financial and content-related activities and to preparing for the final phase of the BeBlue – Beyond Bluegrass project, which focuses on strengthening sustainable agri-food production through aquaponics.

Mark your calendars with the upcoming BeBlue events!
The final period of the BeBlue project will bring a variety of events where you will be able to explore project results and discover innovative tools and solutions developed by the partners:
• 8 April 2025 – Aquaponics Day, Biotechnical Faculty, University of Ljubljana
• 11–13 April 2025 – Spring Agricultural Fair in Komenda, featuring four BeBlue project partners
• 28 May 2025 – Plenary Forum for Consumers, Trieste
• 12 June 2025 – Plenary Forum for Aquaponics Investors, Koper
• Beginning of July 2025 – BeBlue Final Conference, Ca' Foscari University of Venice
In addition to the live events, webinars and online trainings will also be held in the second half of May (in Slovenian and Italian). Participants will be able to learn about practical tools such as the preliminary economic calculator for aquaponics investment, the online carbon and water footprint calculator for aquaponic farms, and the digital twin of an aquaponics system – all developed within the BeBlue project.
The meeting also provided partners with an opportunity for informal networking – they enjoyed a pleasant walk-through Trieste and tasted the traditional "Capo" coffee in one of the city’s oldest cafés, concluding a very productive and enjoyable day.
The BeBlue project is entering its final phase – stay tuned!
