On 03.02.2023 the Managing Authority of the Interreg VI-A Italy-Slovenija 2021-2027 Programme signed the contracts for the granting of funding for ADRIONCYCLETOUR, which is one of three projects of strategic importance in the Programme area. The main objective of the project is contributing to define the cycling route running along the coast of the Adriatic Sea in Italy (Friuli Venezia Giulia and Veneto Regions) and in Slovenia (coastal network), including its main cycle connections to the hinterland areas and in contributing to develop, at EUSAIR (the macro-regional strategy dedicated to the Adriatic area) level, an innovative and attractive cross-border/transnational tourism product on the ADRIATICIONIAN Cycle Route.
The project is led by the Autonomous Region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia in partnership with seven other partners.
The ADRIONCYCLETOUR project has an ERDF budget of € 3 500 000.00 million and runs for 3 years. The project is scheduled to start on 1st September 2022.
The signing of the grant contracts was an important step for the continuation of the Programme.
