During the latest ALL-MICRO partner meeting, Thalhammer announced the postponement of the Tec4I event originally scheduled for July 4th, titled “La microscopia come opportunità per l’innovazione tecnologica”, due to low registration numbers. Sandri clarified that attendees were required to register and only a few had done so. Tec4I will contact the registered participants directly, while partners are encouraged to inform other potentially interested parties. Baj informed the group he will highlight the Tec4I event in an upcoming interview with Il Sole 24 Ore.
Thalhammer also announced that the ALL-MICRO partnership will take part in Trieste NEXT with a roundtable event scheduled for the afternoon of September 27th. Speakers can be reimbursed by the event organizers. Knavs confirmed her participation along with Dragan Mihailovic, and was informed that registration may be required, depending on the venue.
A reminder was issued that pilot project deliverables are due in September. The Board of Experts will collect and review the reports by the end of July for publication on the Interreg project website.
Thalhammer presented the new ALL-MICRO online portal, which has now officially launched and is available at:
The portal presents all supported techniques on a single page, allowing users to explore instruments, example applications, request expert consultations, or submit project proposals. Partners are invited to contribute images of instruments and representative samples to further enrich the platform.
Publication of pilot project reports was also discussed. Reports include a customer authorization form for data publication. While most companies have welcomed visibility, customers may choose whether their contact details are shared. It was proposed that only official company emails be used in public reports.
Finally, Thalhammer introduced the upcoming Summer School on Optical Microscopy, which will take place in mid-October in Trieste, organized by UniTS and CNR-IOM. The school will host up to 15 participants, offering accommodation grants based on the distance from Trieste. Selection will prioritize applicants with urgent needs to apply microscopy in their research. The school is open to PhD students, postdocs, and staff from companies (note: company employees are not eligible for accommodation funding). Full details and the application form are available on the
Interreg Italy–Slovenia website
Promotion will take place via the ALL-MICRO portal and partner networks.
