On August 4th, 2025 the Managing Authority of the Interreg VI-A Italy-Slovenia Programme has signed the financing contract of the standard project CLIMASAFE.
The CLIMASAFE project addresses a pressing challenge of the Italy-Slovenia cross-border area: the increase in the frequency and intensity of extreme climatic phenomena such as heat waves, cold snaps and floods, which have negative effects on the local economic fabric, and in particular these events have serious repercussions on productive activities, especially on SMEs. CLIMASAFE addresses the difficulty of SMEs in rapidly adapting operational processes and strategies for climate risk management and promotes an integrated approach that combines technological innovation, strategic planning and cross-border cooperation for sustainable growth. The project aims to increase resilience of energy-intensive SMEs and reduce costs related to climate and energy challenges.
The Lead partner of the project is Slovensko deželno gospodarsko združenje – Unione regionale economica slovena, which will cooperate with 5 project partners e 6 associated partners.
