On January 9, 2025, the Slovenian Consumer Association hosted the second meeting of the group for information, awareness raising, exchange of information and ideas, and preparation of events on energy saving measures. During the event, the CO-ADRIA project was presented, which aims to promote energy efficiency and sustainable measures to reduce energy consumption in households.
The CO-ADRIA project focuses on achieving climate neutrality in the cross-border regions of Slovenia and Italy, where various local communities and organizations are involved. The main goal of the project is to improve energy efficiency, reduce emissions and promote the use of renewable energy sources in key sectors. One of the key activities of the project is the creation of cross-border energy communities where users will actively participate in energy production and management.
The project was presented by GOLEA - Goriška Local Energy Agency, one of the project partners, which focused on sharing experiences and good practices in the field of energy efficiency and finding new opportunities for cooperation between different stakeholders. The importance of involving local communities in finding solutions for energy transition and climate neutrality was underlined.
The meeting was also an opportunity to exchange views and ideas with experts and representatives of other organisations working for sustainable development and energy saving. Together, we are working towards a more energy efficient and sustainable future.
The CO-ADRIA project will continue to support cross-border cooperation and promote sustainable energy solutions that will contribute to greater energy self-sufficiency and a smaller environmental footprint.

The CO ADRIA project is co-funded by the European Union under the Interreg VI-A Italia-Slovenia Programme.
