The archive, which was initially designed for three pilot areas—Cerje, Sabotin, and Kolovrat—has expanded beyond its original scope in recent months and now covers a broader area of the Isonzo Front. It contains 1,953 entries and is equipped with various filters that allow users to easily search and browse content by thematic fields, including history, geography, geology, and biology, as well as by keywords, year, and other categories.
The web platform is intended for researchers and the professional public, as well as institutions, teachers, students, and anyone interested in the heritage of the First World War in this area. Its main value lies in connecting previously scattered information and placing it within a common reference framework, which facilitates further research, the preparation of interpretative content, and the development of new projects.
The digital archive was also presented in the 22nd issue of Izvestje, thereby further introducing the initiative to the professional community. The archive represents an important contribution in the field of collecting, organizing, and providing access to knowledge about the memorial sites of the Isonzo Front.
