The first official operational meeting following the signing of the Co-financing grant agreement between the Managing Authority and the Lead Partner of the AI-GRAPE project partnership, took place in Padriciano at the premises of the lead partner AREA Science Park on July 18, 2024. The viticulture companies introduced themselves and presented their knowledge and experience in pest control, with the support of the technical partners AREA Science Park, the Primorska Chamber of Commerce, and ZRS Koper. Despite the fact that the cross-border area is homogeneous in spatial and climatic terms, the partners identified significant differences in vineyard management and practices in preventing and controlling vine pests. During the meeting, the partners exchanged information and prepared the foundations for the start of project activities, jointly developing and approving the protocol according to which the planned activities will be carried out in the test vineyards.
