On Monday, May 20, in celebration of World Bee Day, a technical meeting was held at the Gaggio Caves Nature Oasis in Marcon (VE), organized by Veneto Agricoltura, Lead Partner of the BEE2GETHER project, and the APAT-Marcon association.
During the event, project collaborator Martino Rasera installed a nest for wild pollinators, provided by the Slovenian partner NIB – National Institute of Biology, as part of the biodiversity monitoring and conservation activities promoted by the project. The initiative is part of a broader path that combines environmental awareness, scientific research, and technological innovation.
Present at the event were the Marcon Municipality's Environmental Councillor, Michele Favin, several local beekeepers from APAT, and a group of students from the G. Carducci Primary School, part of the G.F. Malipiero Comprehensive Institute, engaged in an environmental education moment focused on the role of pollinating insects and the importance of wild bees in our ecosystems.
The meeting also included a presentation of the BEE2GETHER project and its innovative solutions, such as electronic beehives and the remote monitoring APP — essential tools for collecting environmental data useful in developing sustainable agriculture strategies.
