On August 28, 2025, the POSEIDONE project, financed by the Interreg VI-A Italy-Slovenia Programme, was presented at the Hotel Excelsior at the Lido of Venice during the 82nd edition of the Venice Film Festival. The presentation took place in the spaces dedicated to the Veneto Region, which is also one of the project partners.
The event was moderated by Rita Bertocco, Director of the operational unit responsible for territorial cooperation and european strategies for the Veneto Region. Among the participants were also Laura Comelli, Managing Authority of the Programme, as well as representatives from the various organizations involved in the project.
During the meeting, attendees discussed how POSEIDONE, one of the three operations of strategic importance funded by the Programme, is contributing to the protection and sustainable development of the territory, particularly in coastal and lagoon areas. Actively participated in the discussion:
Cinzia Gozzo, Project Manager for VeGAL, the Local Action Group of Eastern Venice;
Mauro De Osti, Director of the Regional Biodiversity and Parks Strategy of the Veneto Region;
Sergio Grego, General Director of Veneto Orientale Land Reclamation Board;
Caterina DabalĂ , Senior Project Manager in the Environment Area of the Consortium for coordination of research activities concerning the Venice lagoon system.
During the event, some demonstrative videos were shown, highlighting the activities carried out and the results achieved thanks to the funding from the POSEIDONE project.
The meeting took place in a very positive atmosphere and highlighted the importance of the project and the European financial support for the protection and development of the territory between Italy and Slovenia.
