On August 7th, 2025 the Managing Authority of the Interreg VI-A Italy-Slovenia Programme has signed the financing contract of the standard project RE-ACTIVE.
The RE-ACTIVE project addresses the challenge of limited participation of civil society in climate risk management in the Italy-Slovenia cross-border area, with particular attention to linguistic minority communities. Cross-border cooperation is essential for facing climate challenges with coordinate responses. However, civil society still plays a marginal role in governance processes, because there are linguistic, administrative and cultural barriers that hinder effective involvement. RE-ACTIVE aims to transform these barriers into opportunities for cooperation, developing methodologies and innovative tools to increase awareness and resilience of the local community.
The Lead Partner of the project is Autonomous Region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia - Central Directorate for Culture and Sport, which will collaborate with 3 Project Partners and 4 Associated Partners.
