📍 CESFAM Paluzza (UD) – 28 March 2025
On 28 March 2025, the seminar “Water, Forest and Mountain: Interdependence to Understand and Communicate” was held at the CESFAM in Paluzza, targeting journalists, sector experts and institutional stakeholders. The event, promoted by Wigwam Clubs Italia APS within the Interreg Italy-Slovenia WABIN project, saw the active involvement of the Municipality of Paluzza, CEFAP – the Agricultural Training and Education Centre of Friuli Venezia Giulia, and the Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia.
At the core of the discussion was the importance of overcoming the divide between technical expertise and communication, in order to make the results of research and field experimentation accessible to the public on key issues such as sustainable water management, forest stewardship, and the balance of mountain ecosystems.
The seminar provided a valuable opportunity for exchange between the WABIN project partners (Upper Adriatic Technology Park, University of Ljubljana, OGS, Clera. One) and professionals in agro-environmental communication. Special attention was given to the involvement of young people under 25 in narrating the territory and its natural heritage, including through the special sections of the Wigwam Prize “Young Communicators for Resilient Communities.”
The event sparked a shared reflection on water as a strategic and identity-building resource, on the forest as an intergenerational investment, and on the mountain as a fragile space to be preserved and communicated using accessible, engaging and responsible language.
