The Community Pact signed as part of the CrossCare 2.0 project has activated social networks at a local level

NOTRANJE GORICE - Support a community system that takes integrated care of its older citizens and their families, encouraging continued activation of social networks aimed at promoting active aging. This is what is provided for in the Community Pact signed on 14th of January 2025, as part of the European CrossCare 2.0 project and concluded between the six signatory organizations that make up the newly established local Committee.
The letter of intent was signed by Tinkara Godec director of DEOS, celostna oskrba starostnikov, d.o.o., Metka Velepec Šajn director of Dom starejših občanov Grosuplje, Peter Verlič mayor of Grosuplje Municipality, Katarina Vukelič director of Zdravstveni dom Grosuplje, Miha Kranjc director of Zavod Aktivna starost so.p., who signed the pact also as director of Moj načrt, družba za zagotavljanje osebnih storitev, d.o.o.
“We are looking for additional signatories, as we want the activities to continue in the future, so we invite all organisations that would like to participate and sign the agreement to an official signing event on 24 January 2025 at the DEOS Centre for the Elderly Notranje Gorice, Gmajna 7, Notranje Gorice” say the organizers.
The cooperation agreement signed at local level is one of the outputs of the Crosscare 2.0 project, guided by the lead partner Cooperativa sociale Itaca, which involves various entities in Slovenia, Friuli Venezia Giulia and Veneto, co-financed with over 529 thousand euros from the European Fund of regional development and included in the Interreg VI-A Italy-Slovenia 2021-2027 Programme with a total budget of over 662 thousand euros. The project aims, in fact, to create a local cooperation network and strengthen the model of working with the elderly in the local context, developing joint strategies between local organizations and institutions to improve the coordination of existing services in the cross-border area.
WHAT THE COMMUNITY PACT INCLUDES IN SLOVENIA
Among the main points of the agreement, the accompaniment of the elderly and their families in choosing the services best suited to their needs, thanks to a gerontological center strategically located in retirement homes, which will be able to provide a rapid multidisciplinary assessment and anticipate the needs of the elderly, allowing them to remain in their home environment for as long as possible. Creation of a constantly updated database of organizations to facilitate access to the various services available and organization of joint activities and actions to promote services and disseminate information.
PARTNER STATEMENTS
DEOS d.o.o.
We see the benefits as mainly in networking, learning and complementing knowledge, but also in providing and guiding users with the information they need. The positive side is that we, as providers of social protection services, create the network that users need at a given moment. An important aspect is to target a specific organisation in case we as providers do not offer the service in question, but we know which organisation does. Therefore, such events are desirable in terms of getting to know and networking with different institutions and organisations, and thus exchanging contacts. We look forward to future meetings.
DSO Grosuplje
Active and quality ageing is a topic that has been very topical in recent years, but we still pay too little attention to the issue of an ageing population in society. By signing the Community Pact and strengthening cooperation with local organisations, we want to actively tackle this topical issue. We want to provide as many activities and events as possible for older people to raise awareness and achieve a better quality of life. We believe that by working together and complementing each other, we can achieve much more than we can alone. In October, we have already successfully organised a joint event in Grosuplje with the signatories of the Community Pact, which received many compliments from the participants. We look forward to working together in the future.
Municipality of Grosuplje
The Municipality of Grosuplje has strengthened its cooperation with local organisations in the field of care for the elderly by signing a Letter of Intent in the framework of the CrossCare 2.0 project. The cooperation allows for better coordination of services, the creation of a database to support the elderly and the organisation of events to improve their quality of life. For the future, the municipality aims to further expand cooperation, promote active ageing and improve the long-term care system in the local environment.
Grosuplje health centre
The invitation to participate in the CrossCare 2.0 project brought the Grosuplje Health Centre an additional opportunity to extend its knowledge and care for health to the local community. The Grosuplje Health Education Centre, which operates within the Grosuplje Health Centre, provides health education workshops that help to strengthen and maintain health. It is in our great interest to be able to offer the local community as much knowledge and motivation as possible to strengthen and maintain health. Participation in the CrossCare 2.0 project has given us the opportunity to reach people in the local community who are not skilled in help-seeking, through other participating organisations, and thus make it easier for us to provide our services to them as well. At the same time, the collaboration helps us to be able to help people in the local community with integrated care more easily and quickly by offering easier and quicker access to services from other partners. We look forward to continuing to work together and to expanding awareness of the importance of maintaining and improving health in the local community and beyond.
MN d.o.o.
We provide home care and assistance throughout Slovenia. The portal connects providers of home help and care and users in need of help and care. This makes these projects more necessary in terms of networking and marketing, as home help is increasingly a desirable need and a necessity. In view of the growth of the elderly population and the importance of reciprocity, it seems to be our duty to repay their contribution to society by offering them opportunities and helping them to live a dignified life even in old age, and organised home help and care is of great importance in this regard.
For this reason, such events and meetings are essential to get to know and network with different institutions and organisations, and thus exchange contacts.
We see the advantage of networking, and thus in the immediate possibility of helping, but also in providing and guiding users with the information they need.
Zavod Aktivna starost so.p.
Networking with organisations with common goals opens new opportunities for networking, knowledge exchange and the development of innovative approaches, which in turn enables the improvement of the quality of life of older people - one of the main objectives of Active Age, Soc.Ent. We believe that collaboration strengthens our ability to provide comprehensive solutions, promotes social inclusion and enables more coordinated and effective assistance to those who need it most. Signing the Letter of Intent is one of the first steps we can take to further strengthen our cooperation with other organisations.
