The next technical meeting of the partners involved in the Interreg ITA–SLO SUPER VIEW project is scheduled for Thursday, 19 February 2026. The partners will meet at Palazzo D’Aronco, the headquarters of the Municipality of Udine, to review the current state of the project. Representatives from the Municipality of Udine, lead partner of the initiative, the Municipality of Ajdovščina, DITEDI, and the Jožef Stefan Institute will attend.
The meeting marks the transition to the second phase of the project, focused on risk assessment, following the completion of the analysis of the monitoring systems already in place in Udine and Ajdovščina. This preliminary study has been officially approved and provides the foundation for the development of the new prototype.
Risk analysis represents a key step in the SUPER VIEW timeline. The project aims to enhance the ability of local communities to respond to extreme weather events by enabling the early identification of risks affecting their territories.
Meeting agenda
The working group will now focus on the operational aspects of technology development. The main topics will include:
- Technical requirements: defining which sensors and hardware infrastructures are needed to integrate Artificial Intelligence into the system;
- Risk mapping: analysing extreme weather events (such as wildfires and floods) typical of the territories involved in order to improve forecasting;
- Users and stakeholders: identifying who will actually use the system and engaging local authorities to gather valuable feedback and suggestions.
The next step will involve public stakeholders, with the aim of presenting the project’s objectives and goals and collecting input from those responsible for responding to alerts and extreme weather events. Indeed, the timeliness and effectiveness of interventions are crucial factors in mitigating negative impacts.
